Our platform connects buyers and sellers across the fresh produce supply chain, enabling product listings, real-time negotiations, and seamless coordination of freight, payments, and all necessary documentation for trade, food safety, and compliance.
What geographies do you serve?
Chevron arrow down
We have buyers and sellers across North America. Some services—such as consolidation—are limited to specific regions where we have warehouse partners.
What currencies are supported?
Chevron arrow down
We currently support transactions in both U.S. and Canadian dollars. Users can create posts and make offers in either currency, and the accepted offer will determine the currency used for the transaction. To ensure clarity, all prices displayed throughout the app are clearly labeled with their respective currency.
What happens if a shipment is rejected?

FreshTradeDesk mediates all product rejection cases and provides multiple tools to help prevent them—such as product photos, inspections when consolidating with FreshFleet, or Bird Dog services for FOB shipments.
Is the platform free to use?
Chevron arrow down
The platform is completely free to use—you only pay for the specific services you use, with transparent pricing clearly displayed throughout.
Can I contact a seller outside of the platform?
Chevron arrow down
The platform ensures anonymity, and all communication should remain within the system to protect the traceability and integrity of each transaction. Attempting to conduct business outside the platform violates our Terms of Service.
What happens after a sale is finalized?

A member of the FreshTradeDesk team will contact you to mediate the exchange of goods, whether it involves pickup, FOB, or buyer-arranged transportation.
Are there buyer and seller ratings?

We offer the Trade Trust Index—an index tool designed to provide a clear, unified view of each organization's trustworthiness and performance on FreshTradeDesk. This index generates an overall score on a 0 to 5 scale, using a combination of key metrics to provide a well-rounded, data-driven assessment.

Organizations with a valid food safety certification will also earn a badge, providing a simple, visual way to recognize both compliance and commitment to quality.

The Trade Trust Index is comprised of the following metrics:
  • Food Safety Certification
  • DRC/PACA Membership
  • Rejection Rate
  • Seller Rating
  • Buyer Rating
  • Credit Grade
